On Silence and Dialogue

Some people speak to be heard. Others speak to be understood. But the rarest ones speak to listen.

In the forest, silence is not emptiness. It is full of signals — the rustle of a leaf, the pause before a bird sings, the breath between two thoughts. Dialogue, too, needs silence. Without it, words pile up like fallen branches, tangled and unreadable.

Perhaps the most honest conversations are not the ones with the most words, but the ones where silence is allowed to speak.
